Metal technicians are all about metals, machines and tools. Their tasks include working and processing metals into components and semi-finished and finished products as well as designing, manufacturing and assembling these components and products. They also control and monitor automated production systems and machines. Metal technicians use hand tools and computer-controlled systems to process various ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and sometimes also plastics and other materials. They use them to manufacture machines and machine parts, tools, steel components, housings, vehicle parts, etc. They use techniques such as forging, welding, bending, bonding and machining.

Apprenticeship period: 3.5 years
Apprentice remuneration:
1. Apprenticeship year: € 1,000 gross per month, 2nd year: € 1,182.65 gross per month, 3rd year: € 1,546.13 gross per month, 4th year: € 2,028.95 gross per month
PS: Steel construction technology module also possible as a double apprenticeship with welding technology module (apprenticeship period 4 years)
